This source is actually a theoretical treatise derived from Ugolino da Orvieto, which was copied in Ferrara around 1460. In all probability, the source was compiled under the supervision of the choirmaster Robertus de Anglia, who also wrote the first and last of 19 musical works in the appendix to the source. This appendix is of particular importance as a source of Dufay’s chansons, several of which are unique.
