Glogauer Liederbuch
Kraków, Biblioteka Jagiellońska Ms 40098
Glogau presents a vast collection of sacred (hymns, antiphons, responsories, etc. ) and secular (Fantasias, dances) pieces. It was assembled around 1480 in Zagań, probably by Andreas Ritter who was employed there (Reinhard Strohm). There are relations to the university of Leipzig and the court of Matthias Corvinus in Pest.
The pieces appear not always in the same order in the separate part books but it can be assumed that the order in the Cantus book was the intended one.
The edition in the series Das Erbe deutscher Musik is up for revision, the main disadvantage being that it does not present the original sequence of the pieces.
